The Great New York State Fair will be returning to Syracuse from August 25-September 5, 2016. It is an amazing event that draws thousands of people. Rosamond Gifford Zoo at Burnet Park has been entertaining families since 1914. Spread out over 43 acres, this accredited member of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums, is home to approximately 700 animals. You will see everything from the wide variety of fish and sea life to their Asian Elephant, the largest mammal on-site. In addition to the many animals at the zoo, they also offer great programs for children and adults including the Summer Zoo Camp. This is a great family friendly attraction you won’t want to miss.
This 9-hole golf course and 18-hole foot golf course is open to the public and is enjoyable and challenging for all levels. Now offering open play, hosting leagues, outings/events and clinics.
The 18-hole course features 6,081 yards of golf with the longest tees for a par of 71. Other perks at this course include, professional golf instruction, golf club fitting and sales at the pro-shop and a delicious restaurant serving lunch and snacks.
The 9-hole course at the Pope’s Grove Golf Course facility features 1,339 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 29. Designed by Walter Pope, the Pope’s Grove golf course opened in 1961 and is a highlight of the Syracuse area.
