The New York state Fairgrounds is a 375 acre site that hosts a variety of fun, educational and exciting events during each year. In addition to the famous Great New York State Fair, the Fairgrounds host approximately 500 non-fair events, including major sporting events, equestrian competitions, consumer shows and community events.

University Hospital has long held the distinction of caring for the most seriously ill and injured in the state. It is a Level-I trauma center and features the region’s only children’s hospital.
